The Chairman of the Association of Traders with Energy in Bulgaria (ATEB) and Country Manager of GEN-I Bulgaria, Valery Drenikov, took part in the prestigious energy forum ETCSEE 2025 (Energy Trading Central & South Eastern Europe), held at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna in June 12–13, 2025.
The event gathered over 500 participants from the energy sector – traders, exchanges, regulators, and technology providers – with a strong focus on the future of energy markets in Central and South Eastern Europe.
Mr. Drenikov was a panelist in the session “Market Coupling and Dynamics in SEE Power Markets”.
During the discussion, alongside representatives from OMV Petrom, SEEPEX, EFT Furnizare and others, he shared insights on:
- The progress of market coupling in South Eastern Europe;
- The role of energy storage and digital transformation;
- Regulatory challenges and opportunities for cross-border trading.
Mr. Drenikov’s participation underscored ATEB’s active engagement in the regional energy dialogue and highlighted the growing importance of the Bulgarian power market in integration and market development efforts. The forum also provided a valuable platform for new partnerships, knowledge sharing, and promotion of Bulgarian expertise in energy trading.
