On 16th of September 2017, at 02:34, the 1000 MW sixth nuclear reactor of NPP Kozloduy was stopped for scheduled annual overhaul. During the non-operational period renovation and maintenance of the systems will be performed as well as recharging with nuclear fuel. Regarding the ongoing project for increasing the lifespan of the reactor several activities will be executed: complete investigation of components, equipment and pipelines.
The annual overhaul is expected to be completed till the end of October 2017.
The other 1000 MW reactor in NPP Kozloduy operates on full capacity.
