The Energy and Water Regulatory Commission held a closed meeting, at which it adopted the price of natural gas at which the public supplier would sell natural gas to suppliers and thermal heating plants. In the decision of the Commission the approved price of natural gas from June 1, 2020 is 20.33 BGN/MWh (excluding prices for access, transmission, excise and VAT). Compared to the current price for May 2020 in the amount of 22.35 BGN/MWh, the decrease is by 2.02 BGN/MWh, or by 9.04%
The approved price of natural gas of 20.33 BGN/MWh includes the component price of natural gas at the entry point of gas transmission networks, the component for the activity “public supply” and the component for compensation of expenses arising from imposed obligations to the society covering the costs of Bulgargaz EAD for the storage of quantities in the Chiren underground gas storage.
